Storm Preparation for Vacation & Rental Property

Vacation and rental property on the Gulf Coast may require emergency storm preparation services with little notice. BamaREO™ has years of experience with the routine of hurricane and tropical storm preparation.

All services are scheduled upon request. We recommend that arrangements for “Pre-Storm” services be made as far in advance as possible to avoid scheduling difficulties. Due to availability and the time constraints inherent with tropical storms and hurricanes, “Pre-Storm” service arrangements will be made on a “first-come, first-serve” basis and scheduling/completion can not be guaranteed.

Pre-storm preparation services include:

• Patio furniture secured indoors.
• Secure grills, trash bin, potted plants and other items inside or as best as possible.
• Water turned off at the house.
• Install manual shutters.
• Secure electric storm shutters.
• Raise boats on lift and/or secure.
• Trim palm trees prior to storm season (recommended for June)

Post-storm preparation services include:

• Property evaluation performed and reported to owner.
• Post storm clean up.
• Contractor arrangements.

Post-storm season services include:

• Patio furniture returned.
• Grills, trash bins, potted plants, etc. returned.
• Water turned back on.
• Manual shutters removed.
• Open electric shutters.
